Your use of the Plaistow and Ifold Parish Council Website means you agree to the following terms and conditions of use.
Statement of Ownership
Except where indicated otherwise, the design of and material contained in the web site is owned by Plaistow and Ifold Parish Council (the Parish Council).
The information contained and accessed via the web site is provided by the Parish Council for general guidance and is intended to offer the user general information of interest.
The user is free to download or copy any of the material contained on the web site for personal use only.
Disclaimers
Whilst every care possible is taken by the Parish Council to ensure that the material and content of the web site is accurate and up-to-date, the information provided on the web site, however, is done so on an 'as is' basis and without any guarantee or warranty, whether express or implied, including accuracy, completeness and fitness for a particular purpose.
The Parish Council does not, therefore, guarantee that the web site will be uninterrupted, without delay, error and omission free or free of viruses.
The Parish Council will not be liable for any damage, loss, inconvenience or expense whatsoever arising out of any use of the web site.

The web site contains links to other web sites, which in turn may also contain further links. This web site may also be linked from another external site.
The Parish Council does not accept any liability for the content or reliability of any linked web sites.
The provision of links to other web sites does not mean that the Parish Council endorses the opinions or views that may be contained within those web sites.
Privacy
The Parish Council gathers information about site usage through voluntary contributions from site users. This information is necessary so as to continually improve and add to the content and quality of information contained on the site.
Any personal information details obtained by the Parish Council though users of the web site will be treated under the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998.
Information will be retained for as long as it is necessary to ensure that a proper response is made to any comments received.
Any personally identifiable information held will only be disclosed without your permission in the following circumstances:
- where the Parish Council is required to provide that information by law
- where the Parish Council in good faith believes that such action is necessary to comply with the law or protect the legal rights of the Parish Council
The statements relating to privacy relate only to the Parish Council's web site and not to any external web sites.
Community Rules
The web site is intended as an information hub for residents and visitors to the site. Contributions for inclusion on the web site are welcome but as with all communities a number of rules are in place to ensure your enjoyment of the site.
The House Rules are as follows:
- Contributions must not be unlawful or objectionable. Material that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually orientated, racially offensive or otherwise objectionable is unacceptable.
- When making a contribution to the web site you are stating that your contribution is your own original work and that you have the right to make the contribution available to the Parish Council
- Contributions must be constructive and polite and not mean-spirited or with the intention of causing trouble.
- Contributions of the same or very similar material many times will not be accepted
- For your safety it is recommended that any personal information about yourself (telephone number, home address or email address) is not included in your contribution
- If you want to share a useful postal address or external web site link, please contact the Parish Clerk
- If you are under 16 years of age, please ask for your parent's or guardian's permission before submitting any contributions
- By submitting your own work as a contribution to the web site, you are agreeing to others (e.g visitors to the web site) copying it for their own use
