Neighbourhood Watch

Both Plaistow and Ifold have Neighbourhood Watch coordinators who maintain contact with adjacent properties. However to raise the impact that Neighbourhood Watch can have more coordinators are needed in both communities. Anyone wishing to become a coordinator or wanting more information on what is entailed should contact Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Clair Gamlin (0845 6070999 ext. 26682) of the Neighbourhood Policing Team at Petworth Police Station.

Reporting Flooding in the Parish

Each winter Chichester District Council coordinates a flood survey, where all Parish Councils within Chichester District are invited to participate. The aim of this survey is to identify those areas within the District that flood, thereby causing nuisance or risk to people and property.

The information required includes - type of flood; surface water, foul water. What area was affected how deep it was and for how long was the site flooded. If possible the cause of the flood such as blocked drains, ditches or gullies inadequate foul sewage sewer. A date would be appreciated.
