Plaistow Cricket Club

A message from the Chairman
“Other seasons have proved more spectacular in terms of results but this summer saw the emergence of a number of new players along with the regular old faces.
A notable newcomer was Stephen Potter, head teacher at Plaistow and Kirdford Primary School, who has obviously played before and – despite some creaking – turned his arm effectively at bowling and succeeded in hitting one 50 during the season. Other debutantes included a number of youngsters who certainly didn’t disgrace themselves and showed some of the older players how to catch! These are the stars of the future along with some of the forty or so children who regularly turn up on The Green for coaching every Saturday morning.
Another gem this season was the much appreciated (and voluntary) contribution of the Club’s new official scorer, Maxi Harvey, who – pencil in hand – is already talking about next season.
Despite these stars, the Club is always looking for players of any ability, so if you would be interested in playing true village cricket in some beautiful locations get in touch for details”.
